On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank you for visiting our website. I assume you are looking to learn more about our Chamber and what we are all about.

What is a Chamber of Commerce?  A chamber of commerce is a group of businesses working together to promote the business environment in their community.  By promoting business, opportunities for jobs grow and more people desire to live, work and play in our town.

How do we promote business?  We work to provide a variety of events and training opportunities and advocacy that businesses need.  We coordinate networking events, expo events, ribbon cuttings, Business Before Hours and Business After Hours social mixers, new member Meet N Greets, joint networking events with other Chambers, and weekly "Coffee with the Chamber" meetings. The Greeter Service  provides member's promo material to residents signing up for water service at the village hall. Adding your promo material is an inexpensive way to reach residents in our community.

Through our membership in the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, you receive a valuable ally in Springfield for business.  The Illinois Chamber also provides numerous webinars and seminars to assist businesses in obtaining training for HR certifications and many other topics. You can also obtain on-line training on a variety of topics through our website.

Our chamber emphasizes that we are all in this together. A chamber is not a retail marketing and advertising store that drives customers to your door. Instead, we work to find ways for you to network with other members, have opportunities showcase and promote your business, obtain valuable information and training, get your business name in front of potential customers and get involved in the chamber through committee membership.

We are all volunteers and we expect that our members will lend a hand throughout the year with their time, talents and great ideas to continue discovering ways to promote business in our community.
