Committees
Being true to the stated Mission of the Chamber, it offers many unique benefits and opportunities to it's members. Opportunities abound for community exposure, advertising & promotion as well as networking opportunities. Members find numerous opportunities to get involved in the Chamber as a springboard to meeting others and becoming known as productive businesspersons with leadership skills among the business leaders, influencers and potential clients in the community.

    The Board of Directors meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Meetings are normally at 10:30am at the chamber office.
    The yearly elections are held in November.

  • Looking for a few good people!

    The Auction & Scholarship Recognition Committee currently has openings!

    This committee is responsible for planning and running the Annual Auction and Scholarship Dinner.
    Each year the Chamber awards scholarships to deserving high school students from the area.
    This year we had to cancel the dinner and awarded the scholarships to the students at the school recognition ceremony.

    We are hosting a Candlelight Bowling and Fundraising Night on August 4, 2012, to raise funds for future scholarships.

    Summer Celebration

  • Business Expo Tent
    The Chamber of Commerce co-hosts the annual Streamwood Summer Celebration with the Village of Streamwood and the Streamwood Park District.

    More than a thousand people attend this event held on the last weekend of July.

    The Chamber committee meets monthly with the Summer Celebration planning committee and is in charge of obtaining vendors for the Business Expo Tent, assigning table positions, coordinating set-up, manning the Chamber booth and resolving issues that may arise.

    This committee is responsible for developing and implementing a viable program to strengthen and maintain the visibility of the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce within the community. Meets monthly

    There are several advertising and marketing opportunities available to Chamber Members.

    (Greeter Service when we get more helpers)
    Auction and Golf Outing Advertising
    Business Before and After Hours events (BBH and BAH)

    The main purpose of this committee is to recruit new members and retain current membership.

    Members of the committee will be responsible for contacting potiental new members during the annual membership drive, as well as throughout the year.

    All participating members will receive referral credit for each new member they sign up. This credit is applied toward their renewal fees for the following year.

  • Membership Meeting and Dinner

    This committee oversees Chamber budget and expenditures. Meets as needed.

    The annual membership meeting & dinner takes place every November.
    All Chamber members are encouraged to be part of evening.
    This year's dinner will be on November 14, 2025 at The Seville Banquet Hall in Streamwood, IL

  • Rules / By - Laws

    This committee insures the Chamber bylaws are followed including Board Director nominations, elections and responsibilities. The committee reviews the bylaws and should it determine there is a need for a change, informs the Board. The committee will create ballots and manage the voting process. Inform the Board of the results and announce the outcome to the members. The committee will also review current and upcoming legislation activities and report to the Board if action is required. This committee has the ability to create various rules ad hoc.
