Membership is open to all who want to do business in Streamwood, this can and does include businesses and organizations outside of Streamwood.

For-profit firms from retail, commercial, industrial, professional, corporate, and service sectors
Governmental bodies such as the Village, the Park District, and School Districts U46 and ECC
Not-for-profit (charitable/philanthropic/fraternal) groups
Civic members (individuals who like to be involved in the community)
Who
funds it?
The members fund the Chamber with a combination of membership dues
and other income-producing activities.
This chamber is not funded by MUNICIPAL TAXES.
Who's in charge?
The members. Each chamber of commerce is locally governed and answers only to its members.
Per it's By-Laws, the Streamwood Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors who determine Chamber direction, policies and activities.
Directors are elected from and by the chamber membership and are all volunteers. Among themselves they elect the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
Chamber committees and activities are run by member volunteers
Day-to-day operation of the Streamwood Chamber is the responsibility of a full-time executive director
What Does the Chamber Do?
The Chamber helps to make individuals aware of the activities, services and businesses available in our area, in order to help stimulate the local economy, and enhance, support and promote the prosperity of its members.
Raises awareness of the community, its businesses, and activities by maintaining a staff who answer inquiries and send out free information to individuals
Helps to create a positive image for the town
Works to stimulate the local economy
